From the picture you can tell the difference is quite obvious, especially from the side. I'm thin but I don't workout and therefore do not have an ass. When I tried on a stretchy fitting dress, I thought my butt looked blah so I bought this to wear with it. The only problem is that the material is not slick but rough, almost like panty hose but thicker and consequently the dress sticks to the shaper which gives it a very unnatural look. When I turn side to side, the dress remains stuck to the shaper and the dress material is forced to stretch instead of flowing with my natural movement. So, unfortunately, I can't wear it for what it was bought for. BUT I am keeping it because I wore it with the yoga pants in the picture and didn't tell my boyfriend. When he came over, I could tell he was eyeing me [my butt]. It didn't take him long to wonder on over to me to touch and feel. He ran his hand down my thigh and squeezed, I suppose trying to figure out what was different. He didn't feel it though! He said "Your legs feel great" and when I asked "What do you mean?" he said "It feels like you've been working out or something... you look really good today". So, yeah, definitely keeping them!!Pros—Invisible under yoga pants—Makes your butt look and feel tight, nothing jiggles—Definite confidence booster—Definite butt booster—Tapers off the leg smoothly (you can barely feel wear the material ends through yoga pants but you can't see it at all, your skin doesn't bulge out past the material line if that makes sense)—Doesn't ride up and is very comfortable to wearCons—Material isn't smooth and will stick to a polyester dress—Requires a little manipulation to get it in the right place which I'm not sure could be very easily done in a bathroom stall or without a mirror.Other notes:-I'm 5'6" and 140 lbs and I bought a medium. It was tight pulling on but it stretched over everything and looked great once it was in place.-The shaper works by being thin in some places and thick in others, which manipulates your weight into the right places. You need to pay attention to wear the lines fall to take full advantage of the shaper. Especially the lines under the butt, they should be where your butt meets your thigh. Otherwise, if too high or low, it'll flatten your butt, not lift it!I did not want one that has holes or padding. I wanted a fit and shape like they do with skin grafts, etc. The ones with the hole put a crease in your thigh/buttock and if your butt sags it sags but then it sags over this tourniquet looking thing where it meets your thigh. It was very hard to find this and then harder to find one affordable but quality. This is one. So you get complete shape and lift from bottom to stop and it pretty much stays in place. You can shape by working with the position of the bottoms. It is going to compress your booty some but it actually shapes and lifts YOUR booty. So if you want more you pad. I have another to try from another store that I believe might be better than this but probably spent a little more. Not sure. I can say I would buy this one again, even if I like the other one. Bare minimum what you get out of this is putting your skin and body in place like when they are compressing graft scars from burns. You are still going to get positive results in regards to your flabby parts. If you have a butt that just needs a lift but want it to look firm and round this is your key. The fit was perfect to my size and I bought a large for granddaughter and the same. Some people don't like to admit they are larger than they say or maybe they are just too large at the top of the size chart for this garment. But the fit is perfect. I wear 25/26 True Religion and Rock Revivals. I can wear small but I prefer medium because the small is tight and comes off as sexy look at me but I am 55 and don't want that. Medium does fit me. This medium is perfect. Sure it is hard to get on. Hello???? What did you buy it for? It's not like it's sliding on and then gonna shrink like one of those toys you add water too. It is a fight to get on. And then it's really not that comfortable because you know they are on. I am sure that is just getting used to it. But I do not like anything that goes above my hips or navel. I love low cut. Roll pants down. So that alone I have to get used to. Been also wearing a corset trainer. Dreading putting the two together but I will be trying. I would definitely recommend these and give them a fair evaluation before you give up. It might be something that you may not like certain things about but way pros and cons. You might decide despite that it is giving you what you want and might be better than over 90% of all other options. For me it's better than 99%. I have been searching a LOTI really like this brand of shapewear. My butt, hips and outer thighs are my "problem areas," and Laty Rose is perfect for lifting and smoothing out that region and making it look like I've done a lot more squats than I actually have! I used Laty Rose capri shapers with a zip-up girdle after my pregnancy and C-section. Since the abdominal swelling went down I no longer need the girdle, but I loved the way they made my legs and butt look, so I decided to buy more with a regular waistband. These come up to about mid-waist on me, and they end at my knees without covering them, which is what I really wanted. I want to wear these under skinny jeans, so I also wanted to avoid the mark on my thighs from shorts, but I didn't want capri length because I have some distressed jeans with holes at the knees, and I didn't want my shapewear to be visible through those holes! These are the perfect length. They provide a good amount of compression and smooth out my hips and outer thighs without flattening my butt. I started strength training and running a couple of weeks ago and hope not to need these in a few months, but in the meantime they completely transform my shape and make me love the way I look in jeans and leggings. For reference, I'm 5'2", 115 lbs, usually wear a size 2 in trousers or 25 / 26 in jeans, and the Small fits me comfortably. They're as tight as they need to be but not uncomfortable. It feels stiff at first but after a few wash it feels more comfortable to wear. It shapes the butt quite well. Most shape wear focus on the belly and ended up flatten the butt. This one pushed the butt up.I wanted to love these but I ordered the wrong size ! I will order a size larger next time . The quality is excellent! I ordered Small but I should have gone with the MediumTodo el tejido es muy rígido y la parte de atrás que cubre las pompas es muy delgado, por lo que el efecto al vestirte es peor que si no trajeras nada.No está mal, pero pedí M ya que esa es mi talla y me quedo floja de la cinturaDefinitely plan for the stretch, I went with the advice and got a size smaller and it is right for me. The material is nice, has a bit of a texture, but clothes should slide over it. The only thing I didn't like, is that the waist rolls down on me.
